The Elizabeth Place Retirement Village is a McCarthy & Stone development in the desirable town of Market Harborough, featuring an idyllic setting with state-of-the-art facilities. These include home-from-home apartments where owners have access to incredible landscape gardens, a bistro/restaurant, guest suites for visitors and modern communal areas – all fitted with fire detection, camera entry systems, intruder alarms and 24 hour staffing.
With a desire to create flexible space within an area used as a wellness, function room and a dining room, Style worked with Millward architects and McCarthy & Stone Retirement Lifestyles Ltd to install a Stylefold 120, manually operated folding wall.
This easy to manoeuvre, top hung folding wall is ideal for sub-dividing this type of space, enabling staff to quickly create 2 separate rooms or leave it as one large open plan area.
With impressive 41dB Rw acoustic integrity, and an integral pass door, it also means the wall can be left in place for extended periods while the area is used as 2 separate rooms.
A grey laminate finish complements the modern, contemporary interior design of this newly built retirement village, making this a stylish addition to the building as well as delivering adaptable space to cater for a variety of occasions and events.

HBN 00-09 sets out these surface characteristics because unsealed joints are a recognised place for moisture and micro-organisms to collect. A genuinely joint-free edge is designed to address that specific detail.
This is a surface and edge specification, not a clinical claim. Zero-joint technology has not been evaluated or certified by NHS England, and does not claim to reduce infection rates.
Food-service and guest-facing areas are typically inspected under hygiene and housekeeping standards that look closely at surfaces and joints. A seamless, moisture-resistant edge is designed with exactly that kind of scrutiny in mind.
Every one of these sectors shares the same underlying surface problem: a bonded-strip edge is a seam, and a seam is a place where dirt, moisture or wear can concentrate in a way a continuous surface can't. Zero-joint technology addresses that one structural detail across offices, schools, healthcare and hospitality settings alike — one construction detail, one shared weak point removed, four sectors that each care about it for their own reasons.
