Schroders is a global investment manager, helping institutions, intermediaries and individuals achieve their financial objectives, fulfil their ambitions and prepare for the future. Its business is built around three core pillars: Investment, Product and Distribution, combining world-class portfolio management, innovative product development and exceptional client service.
At Schroders’ prestigious offices within 1 London Wall Place, Style Group was specified to create flexible meeting and auditorium spaces that could quickly adapt to the changing needs of the business whilst complementing the building’s contemporary interior design. Working alongside architect TP Bennett and main contractor Overbury, Style delivered an innovative room division solution using the industry-leading Skyfold Classic 60 vertical rising wall, a popular solution for modern corporate environments where flexibility and acoustic privacy are essential.
Fully automatic and discreetly housed within the ceiling cavity when not in use, the Skyfold wall descends smoothly and silently at the turn of a key, transforming open-plan space into private meeting environments with exceptional acoustic performance. Delivering an impressive 59dB Rw acoustic rating, the system provides outstanding speech privacy, allowing multiple meetings and presentations to take place simultaneously without disruption.
Each Skyfold wall was finished in fabric and incorporated acoustic absorbent NRC panels within the lower sections, further enhancing the overall acoustic performance of the space. Available in a wide range of fabric and finish options, the system was tailored to complement the contemporary interior design whilst delivering exceptional acoustic performance. The result is a highly flexible and sophisticated environment that combines seamless automation, outstanding sound insulation and stylish aesthetics.
“Skyfold is not only a great solution for any professional environment, but it sets industry standards with its operational performance, acoustic integrity and ability to reconfigure a room in just minutes at the turn of a key,” said Julian Sargent, Group Managing Director of Style Group.
“The Schroders installation perfectly demonstrates the capabilities of Skyfold, gliding effortlessly and silently into place to divide space with speed and ease. It creates a real showpiece for client meetings whilst delivering practical, high-performance room division.”

HBN 00-09 sets out these surface characteristics because unsealed joints are a recognised place for moisture and micro-organisms to collect. A genuinely joint-free edge is designed to address that specific detail.
This is a surface and edge specification, not a clinical claim. Zero-joint technology has not been evaluated or certified by NHS England, and does not claim to reduce infection rates.
Food-service and guest-facing areas are typically inspected under hygiene and housekeeping standards that look closely at surfaces and joints. A seamless, moisture-resistant edge is designed with exactly that kind of scrutiny in mind.
Every one of these sectors shares the same underlying surface problem: a bonded-strip edge is a seam, and a seam is a place where dirt, moisture or wear can concentrate in a way a continuous surface can't. Zero-joint technology addresses that one structural detail across offices, schools, healthcare and hospitality settings alike — one construction detail, one shared weak point removed, four sectors that each care about it for their own reasons.
