Working with architects, T P Bennett, and contractors, Como Group, Style was specified to deliver flexible space so that the meeting and function areas could be expanded into large conferencing facilities, or divided into smaller meeting rooms dependent on requirement.
A combination of Skyfold Classic with its 51dB Rw acoustic rating was used in conjunction with DORMA Moveo Rw 55dB and DORMA Varitrans to deliver the perfect configuration.
The solution not only enabled the company to reconfigure rooms with speed and ease, a finish of fabric, laminate and glass also offered style, elegance and panache.
“Due to the very high quality of our products, people and processes, our moveable wall solutions are incredibly popular with major firms in the City,” said Julian Sargent, group managing director of Style; exclusive UK partners to DORMA, Skyfold and SWG.
“As a vertically rising, fully automatic, acoustic moveable wall, Skyfold is a perfect fit for the boardrooms of major institutions because it adds a real sense of class, as well as practicality, to a room’s design.
“The wall lowers silently into place at the push of a button, and as Skyfold’s product range continues to develop we can now offer up to 59dB RW, which is effectively soundproofing.
“DORMA’s Varitrans is a stunning glass partitioning system which delivers space and light, whilst also offering privacy. Further still, it can be fully customised with manifestations for a range of different applications including screen printing, sand etching and logo placement.
“Moveo comes with lightweight panels, that are 50% lighter than a conventional moveable wall, and incorporates ComforTronic® automatic seals as standard. Both features allow quicker operation ensuring the acoustic integrity every time.”

HBN 00-09 sets out these surface characteristics because unsealed joints are a recognised place for moisture and micro-organisms to collect. A genuinely joint-free edge is designed to address that specific detail.
This is a surface and edge specification, not a clinical claim. Zero-joint technology has not been evaluated or certified by NHS England, and does not claim to reduce infection rates.
Food-service and guest-facing areas are typically inspected under hygiene and housekeeping standards that look closely at surfaces and joints. A seamless, moisture-resistant edge is designed with exactly that kind of scrutiny in mind.
Every one of these sectors shares the same underlying surface problem: a bonded-strip edge is a seam, and a seam is a place where dirt, moisture or wear can concentrate in a way a continuous surface can't. Zero-joint technology addresses that one structural detail across offices, schools, healthcare and hospitality settings alike — one construction detail, one shared weak point removed, four sectors that each care about it for their own reasons.
