At a leading financial organisation’s offices in London’s W1 district, Style Group worked alongside architects Aukett Swanke and contractor Overbury to create a highly flexible conferencing facility capable of adapting to a wide variety of meetings, presentations and events.
To deliver exceptional flexibility alongside outstanding acoustic performance, Style installed a combination of DORMA Hüppe Variflex Glass partitions and solid DORMA Hüppe Variflex operable walls. The solution enables the client to quickly reconfigure the space into a variety of small and large meeting rooms or open the entire area to accommodate larger gatherings and corporate events.
With an acoustic rating of 52dB on the glazed partitions and 59dB on the solid walls, the installation provides excellent sound insulation, ensuring meetings can take place without disruption from surrounding activity. Semi-automatic operation also guarantees the acoustic seals are applied to the correct pressure every time, maintaining optimum performance and ease of use.
The glazed panels feature elegant dark grey framing, while the solid partitions are finished in a premium 25mm fabric, creating a sophisticated and contemporary appearance. By combining glazed and solid partitioning systems, the design maximises natural light while preserving privacy where required, making it an ideal solution for modern corporate environments.
“We were delighted to be entrusted with such a prestigious installation at a leading financial business,” said Michael Porter, Style Group Managing Director.
“It is becoming increasingly popular to combine different types of moveable walls, and by bringing a solid and glass solution into the same room adds a sense of panache, increases the amount of light and offers a really superb solution for adaptable meeting space.
“The final solution offers a number of options for how the entire area is used and it also acts as a real showpiece for people visiting the building.
“Further still, the DORMA Hüppe moveable walls lead the way in sustainability, which is also important for a business’ ESG goals.”
The project demonstrates how combining high-performance acoustic partitions with contemporary design can create flexible spaces that support collaboration, privacy and productivity. Whether dividing conference suites, meeting rooms or multifunctional areas, solutions such as glass partitions and operable walls help organisations maximise the potential of their workspace while maintaining a premium aesthetic.

HBN 00-09 sets out these surface characteristics because unsealed joints are a recognised place for moisture and micro-organisms to collect. A genuinely joint-free edge is designed to address that specific detail.
This is a surface and edge specification, not a clinical claim. Zero-joint technology has not been evaluated or certified by NHS England, and does not claim to reduce infection rates.
Food-service and guest-facing areas are typically inspected under hygiene and housekeeping standards that look closely at surfaces and joints. A seamless, moisture-resistant edge is designed with exactly that kind of scrutiny in mind.
Every one of these sectors shares the same underlying surface problem: a bonded-strip edge is a seam, and a seam is a place where dirt, moisture or wear can concentrate in a way a continuous surface can't. Zero-joint technology addresses that one structural detail across offices, schools, healthcare and hospitality settings alike — one construction detail, one shared weak point removed, four sectors that each care about it for their own reasons.
